Do you have a first aid kit in your car?
If you are in the market for a first aid kit check the following link for a couple of nice options www.southeasternoutdoors.com/outdoors/backpacking/buy-first-aid-kit.html _________________ ---------------------------

Duct tape. You can use it in place of ace bangages, moleskin, bandaides, butterfly strips. Of course it is non absorbant and doesn't work well as a pressure dressing in itself. Don't leave home without it. I wrap several layers around my water bottle instead of bringing the whole roll. They come in lots of colors now too. _________________ Why do I live in Alaska? | I have heard you can use superglue to hold bad cuts together. |

Duct Tape is good 1stimestar, thanks.
I usually have some, it's just on my camping list and my canoe camping list. Having some in the first aid kit is a good idea and I will do that. _________________ ---------------------------

Yes it does. But they have medical grade if you are planning to use it. My midwife used it for my last uhm birth related tear.... worked well but not as good as a couple of stitches would have. Had to be really careful... _________________ Why do I live in Alaska? Because I can.

I have pretty much all of this in a tackle box that I carry for the dog, when we go hunting. It can be used for humans, too. I carry a box of glove for cleaning birds. I hate the gut smell on me fingers, especially when I'm eating or picking my nose. _________________ Big John aka Mod 12 |

Also, water proof matches in a small waterproof container. If a lighter gets wet it wont work. Also if it gets too cold, a Bic wont work until it is warmed up. The butane freezes up. You really don't want to be out when it's that cold but even little ol' ME has needed a light when it was too cold for the bic to work. I have to put it in my glove to warm it up. _________________ Why do I live in Alaska? Because I can.

I keep "Strike Anywhere" matches on hand and have 1/2 dozen boxes. REI sells a waterproof match that is like a road flare. I've used them to start fires while camping and they are spectacular. I highly recommend them. With that said, I'd like to have a nice Marble's Match Safe. _________________ Big John aka Mod 12 |
