MT man cited for illegal wolf kill near Lincoln

Gazette News Service | Posted: Monday, November 23, 2009

A Montana man has been cited for illegally taking a gray wolf after he shot one of the animals two days after the hunting season for the predators was shut down.

State officials say the man, whose name was not immediately available, killed the animal near Lewis and Clark Pass east of Lincoln on Oct. 18.

Game warden captain Mike Martin says the man had started hunting three days earlier

Another stupid way for the state to profit off of the backs of hard working Americans. At one time our game agencies were interested andprimarily based their game laws on science, now it is 100% political, line my pockets management.

What kind of an asinine moron makes the decision to sell 10,000 tags to kill 75 wolfs if money isn't the main factor? Then expects people camping and hunting in the back country to miraculously "know" when the quota is met.
