Looking for property/house in north TN or even KY. Would like something in the country but within maybe 60-80 miles of a metro area.

We sure would like to have you up here as neighbors....

There are some good deals to be had in this area but we are middle, rather than north.

Thanks Todd.
Trying to get closer to Ohio when we retire w/o having to put up with Ohio winter. It will come down to driving hours and what we can find. Autry's son had a nice place awhile back in north-west TN.

What price range and size house are you looking for? How much land do you want to buy?

I drive 71 miles twice a day to work, so I have been pushing to move close to my work, but my wife isn't fond of the idea. If gas prices continue going up and reach $5 a gallon it would make more financial sense for us to move to TN.

We live in Southern Kentucky, but we can be at Cracker Barrel in Clarksville, TN in a 35 minute drive.

We live here http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&safe=active&wrapid=tljp1305306809754070&q=17700+Oval+Rd,+Hopkinsville,+KY+42240&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x88654093bbab259d:0x5b81f977c9484c15,17700+Oval+Rd,+Elkton,+KY+42220&gl=us&ei=1mbNTYKLAdCCtgfDqbHoDQ&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1&sqi=2&ved=0CBoQ8gEwAA

I know it is an open ended request but we'll know it when we see it. We have looked at homes and even store buildings in small towns. We want to have at least 2200 sq feet. Kt has two looms and a sewing room full. Don't want a bunch of grass but would take woods/pasture. Looking in the 125000-175000 range. Thanks!

We only have 1540 sq. ft., so the square footage you are looking for is not here. The deed says we have 10+ acres, but we believe it is around 11.5 acres. Our yard is slightly over 1 acre and I mow another acre around the upper and lower field, so we probably have to much grass for you. It takes me around 6 hours with a 54 inch mower (not a 0 radius mower) to mow everything I want mowed.

I do love our house and I love it that we live 14 miles from Hopkinsville, 14 miles from Elkton, 14.7 miles from Crofton and 28 miles from Greenville. Our clostest neighbor is .4 miles away in both directions. You can pee in the front yard unless a car is passing, but you can hear a car coming from a mile away.

Sounds like heaven! I can see why your wife wants to stay.

I want to stay too! It's the gas prices that make me think about moving. 142 miles a day stings pretty bad at the pumps.

Going to have to pass on this one. Maybe if I'd make it as a TV evangelist I could afford it?
