A woman has died from injuries she suffered in a high-speed boat crash at Clear Creek on Sunday morning, League City police said Monday.

At 10:32 a.m. Sunday, the League City Police Department received a 911 call from an 82-year-old man who said he had crashed his boat into the woods along the bank of Clear Creek in the area of FM 270 Boat Ramp and the Clear Creek Nature Park, police said.

The man apparently had lost control of his speeding 23-foot Seadoo pleasure craft, which struck the creek bank and flew about 100 to 150 feet into the woods, police said.
